Highlights: At Newville, the No. 13 Bulldogs utilized strong shooting in the final minutes to defeat the No. 20 Panthers (11-11) in the District 3-AAA preliminary round. Schuylkill Valley was leading when Tyler Carns scored to put Big Spring up 43-42. After a brief Panther lead, Carns nailed one of his five 3-pointers along with an Eli Diehl free throw to give the Bulldogs a 47-44 lead. D.J. Shuttleworth then sunk a 3-pointer to tie the game at 47 points until Jake Henry hit a free throw with 16 seconds remaining to capture the win for Big Spring. Leading Schuylkill Valley scorers were Jahron Mathies and Nate Miller who both scored 11 points.
