Highlights: At Gov. Mifflin Intermediate, Andrew Day had a double-double and Billy Hartman returned from an injury to scored a game-high 18 as the eighth-seeded Mounts (12-11) defeated the ninth-seeded Spartans (15-8) in a District 3-A first-round game.

Hayden Lee scored 15 for Antietam, which advances to meet top-seeded Central Catholic in the quarterfinals.

Day scored nine first-quarter points as Antietam bolted to a 24-11 lead.

The Spartans got no closer the rest of the way.

Day, who joined the Mounts in early January, finished with 14 rebounds and 15 points.

Anthony Johnson had 10 rebounds as the Mounts dominated the boards against the smaller Spartans.
