Highlights: At Dillsburg, the ninth-seeded Cardinals (12-13) came out strong, but couldn’t hold the No. 1 Rollers (21-4) in their District 3-A quarterfinal game Saturday at Northern York High School.

Malia Tate-DeFreitas scored 24 points for Steel-High, which trailed 13-11 after one quarter, but switched from a man defense to a half-court zone trap.

“It really bothered us and took us out of our rhythm,” Cards coach Jeff Cardinal said.

Defreitas hit a 3 at the halftime buzzer to make it 24-16 and Jessika Williams, a 1,000-point scorer for the Rollers, scored all 14 of her points in the second half to seal the win.

Marie Rossignoli led the Cards with nine points.
