Highlights: At Kutztown, the Cougars played their best defensive game of the season, bottling up the Cardinals with a 3-2 matchup zone and clinched the second playoff berth from Berks IV with the low-scoring victory. It was the first league loss for Central (12-1, 18-4). Kutztown tied with Holy Name for second (each 8-5, 11-11), but the Cougars advance to Saturday's Berks League quarterfinals by virtue of their victory over the division-champion Cardinals. Kutztown held top Central scorers Mia Wendt and Marie Rossignoli to six and three points, respectively. Anna Behm had eight points to lead Kutztown, which lost 56-19 to Central on Dec. 20. Ashley Landis went 2-for-2 and Britney Meitzler 2-for-3 from the line down the stretch to preserve the win for Kutztown, which led from start to finish.
