Highlights: At Alvernia, the Cardinals (4-1) blanked the Battlin' Miners (4-2) in the third quarter on the way to a close win. Minersville was up two going into halftime before Central Catholic made a stand in the third. Nicole Vallely had six steals. Mia Wendt had 12 points and 10 rebounds, and Marie Rossignoli was 4-for-6 from the line in the fourth and finished with 13 points and 10 boards.
