Highlights:
At Geigle Complex, the Red Knights (1-1, 4-1) erased a seven-point halftime deficit with a big third quarter en route to a comeback win over the Mustangs (1-1, 4-3).
With Isis Thorpe and Jailyn Stern combining for five free throws down the stretch, Reading outscored Gov. Mifflin 7-2 over the final two minutes to break a 45-45 tie and pull away late.
Thorpe finished with 16 rebounds, including eight in the third, and 15 points, while Stern scored a game-high 18 for the Red Knights.
Imani Bryant had six blocks for Reading, and Melissa Martin led a balanced Mifflin attack with 12 points.
