Highlights:
At Shillington, Kylie Herman led the Mustangs (14-10) with 11 points in a District 3 AAAA preliminary win over the Golden Mares (13-10).
Herman sank two critical free throws with 10 seconds remaining and freshman Melissa Martin followed with a key steal to ice the game for Gov. Mifflin.
Emily Gingrich and Megan Megan scored eight and seven respectively, despite spending most of the second quarter on the bench for the Mustangs with two fouls apiece.
The Mustangs will travel to top-seeded Dover on Tuesday.
Dover No. 1 seed in District 3.
