Highlights: At Mechanicsburg, Meme Burdine scored a career-high 23 points and paced Reading High to a state playoff berth as the Red Knights beat Chambersburg 53-47 in a District 3-AAAA state qualifier.

Reading struggled through most of the first half and trailed 32-25 at halftime.

The Red Knights made some key defensive adjustments and held Chambersburg to just 15 points in the second half.

Reading High outscored Chambersburg 13-7 in the fourth, keyed by three points by Baba Waples in the final minutes to preserve the win.

Jalan Branford and Gil Benz each reached double figures for the Red Knights (15-13) with 10 points.

Kellen Williams led the Trojans (15-9) with a game-high 24 points.

Mitch Stahl and Evason Ogbanna each finished with nine points.

Reading High will play Carlisle in the fifth place game Thursday.
