Highlights: At Hamburg, Andrew Pawlyk scored a game-high 18 points, half of them in overtime, to lead the Trojans (25-5) over the Spartans (17-11) in a PIAA Class AA Tournament opener.

Pawlyk, who struggled from the line early in the game, hit five straight free throws in the final 1:06 of overtime to help the District 3-AA runner-up Trojans hold on for their first state playoff victory since 1998.

Rezin Davis scored 14 points for Hughesville, the third-place finisher out of District 4-AA.

The Spartans trailed by 10 points in the second quarter but forced overtime when Josh Crownover hit a basket with 57 seconds remaining, and Cameron Gettl missed twice at the line with 4.3 seconds left.
