Highlights: Berks scoring leader Cartier Talford shook off a slow start and finished with 29 points to lead Conrad Weiser over Twin Valley in the Division II finale for both.

The win leaves the Scouts (9-1, 14-7) tied for first place with Berks Catholic, which closed its league schedule by beating Hamburg.

The Berks II title will go to the team with the highest power rating; the Saints led that race entering play Tuesday.

Talford went scoreless for the first 12 minutes of the game and finished the first half with just three points. He lit it up in the second half, hitting 9-of-12 shots from the field and 8-of-10 from the line.

The Raiders (5-5, 11-10) led by as many as nine points in the second quarter as center Justin Diehm dominated the post area. He scored eight first-quarter points on the way to a season-high 18.

The Scouts closed the first half with a 10-1 run to pull even at 31-31, then opened the second half with a 10-2 run, Talford supplying three baskets.
