Highlights: At Hamburg, Matthew Angstadt scored 14 of his 15 points in the second half to help the Cougars (1-2) come from behind and defeat the Hawks (0-3). Kutztown, which trailed 21-8 after the first quarter, outscored Hamburg 24-15 over the middle quarters to pull within four points heading into the fourth. The Hawks found themselves trailing by five with less than a minute remaining. They climbed within two points, but missed a contested layup at the buzzer that would've sent the game into overtime.

Also for Kutztown, Keaton McCoach scored 10. Logan Adams scored a game-high 17 for Hamburg.
