Highlights:
Lonnie Walker IV and Khary Mauras fronted a red-hot shooting display that carried Reading High to a Berks Conference semifinal win over Gov. Mifflin and into Friday's title game against Berks Catholic.
The Berks I champion Red Knights (20-4) knocked down six 3-pointers in the first half and saw Walker end the third quarter with a buzzer-beating 70-footer.
Walker and Mauras each finished with 19 points, Walker jamming 13 of them into a third quarter which saw the Knights push their lead to 52-39.
The Mustangs (13-11), who had lost to Reading by 20 and 11 points in two prior meetings, played with poise and intensity in the first half, and trailed just 31-29 at intermission.
Walker opened the second half with a tip-in and scored three baskets in the first 90 seconds as Reading opened with an 8-0 run to extend its lead to 10.
Ty Gibson Jr. had 13 points and six rebounds for the Knights and Damon Stern had nine points and seven assists.
