Highlights: At Uwchlan, the Cougars trailed 24-17 at halftime but outscored their opponents 29-7 in the second half to earn the comeback victory over the Rams in the District 1 Class AAAA third place game on Saturday night.

Paige Warfel led the game with 19 points for Downingtown East (22-7). Aryah Aungst added 13 for the Cougars.

East was heavily out-rebounded in the first half and Spring-Ford (17-10) took advantage of second chance opportunities. The Cougars used a 13-0 run to begin the third quarter and make a comeback.

Maggie Locke was the leading scorer for Spring-Ford.

The Rams will face Archbishop Carroll in the first round of states.
