Highlights: Khary Mauras scored 11 of his game-high 21 points in the third quarter as Reading High picked up the intensity and pulled away from Gov. Mifflin for a 60-33 victory in a Berks Conference Division I game at the Geigle.

The Mustangs (1-2, 6-5) led briefly early in the second quarter before Mauras and Lonnie Walker IV sparked a 14-2 closing run that gave the Red Knights (3-0, 9-3) a 10-point lead at the half.

Mauras was 6-for-6 from the field in the second half.

Walker had 14 first-half points and finished with 18 points, nine rebounds and three assists.

The Mustangs were held to a season low in points.

Reading remains tied with Wilson for first place in Berks I. The Red Knights and Bulldogs meet next Tuesday at the Geigle.
