Highlights: At Bollman Center, shorthanded Berks Catholic hung with state-ranked Constitution until the final minutes before falling in the opening game of the HoopGroup Reading Tip-Off Showcase.

Freshman Casey Jack scored a team-high 16 points for the Saints (1-3), who again played without starters Isaac Lutz, John Reedy and Marcus Wilson.

Freshman Bryce Calloway, who finished with 14 points and seven rebounds, scored on a drive for the Saints to cut the Generals' lead to 51-45 with 2:55 left. The Saints could get no closer.

Tamir Green, named the Generals' MVP, had a game-high 21 points.
