Highlights: Pottsgrove fell behind for the first time with four minutes to go in its season opener against visiting Great Valley, but recovered for a 47-45 win in the first game in its new gym.

Nik Curnew tied the score at 45-45 with a 3-pointer and Louis Gibbs hit a floater with 50 seconds to go for the winning points in the first round of the Pottsgrove Tip Off Tournament.

Gibbs led the Falcons with 12 points and Will Buzan scored 17 for the Patriots. Pottsgrove will play West Chester Henderson, a 54-45 loser to Boyertown, tonight at 6:30.
