Highlights: Lonnie Walker IV scored 30 points and Khary Mauras had 17 points and 12 rebounds as Reading High defeated Chester 73-64 in a PIAA Class AAAA quarterfinal at Temple's Liacouras Center.

The Red Knights (28-3) advance to the state semifinals Tuesday to meet District 8-AAAA champ Allderdice (27-1), site and time to be announced.

The Red Knights went ahead on Damon Stern's free throw in the final minute of the first quarter and led the entire way, building a 20-point lead late in the fourth quarter en route to their 23rd straight win.

Walker scored 10 points in the final quarter, hitting 8-of-10 free throws.

Reading made 16-of-22 free throws in the final quarter to hold off a 30-point outburst by the Clippers (22-8).

Stern finished with 11 points.

Reading will play in the state semifinals for the first time since 1983.
