Highlights:
Schuylkill Valley senior Cody Mish scored a team-high 16 points and the Panthers made eight free throws in the final 90 seconds to hold on for a 52-40 victory over Littlestown in a District 3 Class 4A state-qualifier at Milton Hershey's Spartan Center.
The Panthers will enter the PIAA Tournament as District 3's fifth-place team and open against District 6 champ Johnstown.
The Panthers (17-10) trailed by eight points early in the second quarter before buckling down on defense and taking over on the boards. They used an 11-0 run to take the lead for good and were up by as many as 15 points in the fourth quarter.
Ryan Worrell scored all 11 of his points in the second half for the eighth-seeded Panthers.
Malachi Kauffman had a game-high 12 rebounds.
The PIAA Tournament berth is the first in 13 years for the Panthers.
The sixth-seeded Thunderbolts (16-10) were eliminated.
