Highlights:
Tyrone Nesby IV knocked down four first-half 3-pointers and Reading High used its fullcourt pressure to wear down North Penn in the opening round of the PIAA Class 6A Tournament at Kutztown University.
Nesby finished with five 3's and a game-high 17 points for the Red Knights (26-3), the third-place finisher out of District 3.
They will meet Perkiomen Valley in the second round Wednesday. The Vikings upset District 12 champ Roman Catholic.
North Penn (21-7), the fifth-place finisher out of District 1, hit some early 3s and jumped to an 18-9 lead late in the first quarter before a pair of Nesby 3s quickly closed the gap.
The Red Knights used a 16-1 spurt in the second quarter to take command and held a double-digit lead the rest of the way.
Lonnie Walker IV had 15 points and Isiah Cook 11 for the Red Knights.
None of North Penn's starters cracked double figures.
North Penn hit 4-of-7 shots from beyond the arc in the first quarter but made just 1-of-12 the rest of the way.
