Highlights: Boyertown advanced to the PIAA Class 6A girls basketball quarterfinals with a second-round win over Garnet Valley at Spring-Ford High School. Abby Kapp scored 28 and Alli Marcus added 15 points for the Bears (25-5), who led 34-19 at the half, but had their lead sliced to three late in the game. Emily McAteer led the Jaguars (23-6) with 22 points.

Boyertown will play Abington or Northampton on Saturday at a time and place to be determined.
