Highlights:
At Wolf Gymnasium, the Blue Jays (6-1, 13-3) switched to a pressure zone at halftime, then held the Cardinals (3-3, 6-8) to 16 second-half points in notching the win.
Jeremy Beckett had 16 points to go along with eight rebounds and three blocks for Holy Name, which was down seven at the half.
Beckett's bucket tied the game at 41-41 early in the fourth, and the Blue Jays took a 45-41 lead on two free throws apiece from Ryan McFarland and Devon Armstrong.
Zack Fenstermacher, whose two 3s accounted for Central's only fourth-quarter scoring, then hit a 3 to pull the Cardinals to within one, but they would get no closer.
Holy Name went 8-for-11 from the foul line in the fourth quarter, and 15-for-20 for the game, while Central shot just one free throw on the night.
Cameron Furman scored 15 of his game-high 20 in the first half to stake the Cardinals to a 31-24 lead at the break. Fenstermacher scored 17.
McFarland finished with 15 for the Blue Jays.
