Highlights: At Wyomissing, Corey Evangelista hit 10-of-13 free throws in the fourth quarter to help the Hawks (1-0, 1-8) hold off the Spartans (0-1, 2-5) for their first win of the season. Evangelista scored a career-high 25 points, hitting four 3-pointers and going 13-17 from the line and had seven rebounds for Hamburg, which led by as many as 16 points in the fourth quarter before Wyomissing cut it to seven with 45 second left. The Spartans, who played without starters Dom Wise, Alyas Branford-Williams and Max Moyer, could get no closer. Seamus Barter had nine points and 11 rebounds for the Hawks. Julius Jordan led the Spartans with 12.
