Highlights: At Alvernia, the Cardinals (3-0) clamped down on the Beavers (2-1) in the second half, outscoring them 29-12 in the final 16 minutes to avenge their defeat in last year's District 3-A semifinals.

Casey Hoffmann scored eight of her 13 points and Krissy Wrobel had all nine in the second half. Wrobel also pulled in 10 rebounds.
