Highlights: Ricki Lopez scored a career-high 22 points and Reading High held off a big comeback bid to defeat Dallastown 83-71 in a District 3 Class 6A quarterfinal at Geigle Complex.

The top-seeded Red Knights (22-4) advance to face fifth-seeded Manheim Township in the semifinals Tuesday at 8:30 at Giant Center.

Lopez had 16 first-half points in helping Reading build a 20-point lead but the ninth-seeded Wildcats (14-10) twice pulled within five points in the final quarter.

Xavier Starks had 15 points and Larry Wingo and R.J. Dixon each had 12 for Reading.

Braden Caldwell knocked down four 3-pointers and scored 22 points for Dallastown.

Wesley Butler, who finished with 10 points, had six points during a 2 1/2-minute stretch of the final quarter that saw the Red Knights extend their lead back to double digits.

The Wildcats made eight 3-pointers in the game, the Red Knights just two.

Lopez made his first nine shots and finished 11-for-12 from the field.
