Highlights: Tournament MVP Mickeel Allen scored 17 points and grabbed 10 rebounds as Norristown held off Reading High 63-56 in the 45th annual Reading Holiday Tournament.

Wesley Butler led the Red Knights (4-5) with 23 points. He was named to the all-tournament team along with Reading's Denim Adams, Steel-High's Mikai Flowers, Downingtown East's Tariq Kalim and Norristown's Aaron Reddish.

Reddish had 14 points and eight rebounds for the Eagles (8-1).

Reading pulled within two points of the lead three times in the final quarter but couldn't get over the hump as the Eagles hit 5-of-6 free throws in the final minute.

In the consolation game, Downingtown East defeated Steel-High 70-41.

The Red Knights lost in the championship game last year to Dunbar (Md.), 56-54.
