Highlights:
At West Lawn, Cameron Furman scored a game-high 27 points and Alex Swavely hit a pair of free throws with 0.9 seconds remaining as No. 7 Central Catholic defeated No. 2 Holy Name 45-43 in a District 3-A quarterfinal Friday night.
The Cardinals (13-11) advance to meet High Point in a semifinal Monday at 6 at Gov. Mifflin Intermediate.
Furman tied the game with a steal and layup with 45 seconds remaining, igniting an 8-0 run over the final three minutes.
The Blue Jays (20-6) trailed by 11 points midway through the third quarter before reeling off a 17-2 run to lead 41-37 with 4 1/2 minutes remaining.
Eric Angstadt and Ryan McFarland each finished with 12 points for Holy Name.
Furman opened the game with three 3-pointers in the first four minutes and scored 11 points in the first quarter. He finished with six 3's.
