Highlights: Jacob Painton and Christian Cacchione combined to hit six straight free throws in the final 35 seconds as Berks Catholic held off Wyomissing to remain unbeaten in Division II of the Berks Conference.

The Saints (7-0, 9-6), who extended their league-record winning streak to 56 games, need two wins in their final three league games to clinch the division title.

Painton, a senior and first-year starter, finished with a team-high 12 points and grabbed seven rebounds. He hit both ends of a double bonus with 35 seconds left to extend Berks Catholic's lead to 42-38, then hit twice again with 18 seconds left.

Cacchione closed it out with a pair of free throws with 12 second left. He finished with eight points.

Max Hurleman scored a game-high 15 points for the the Spartans (5-2, 12-6), all in the second half, before fouling out in the final minute.

The Saints led 26-12 at halftime after hitting five 3-pointers and led by as many as 16 points in the second half. They led for good after Painton's three-point play with 1:36 left in the first period.

The Saints won the first meeting 42-40 on Jan. 2 at Wolf Gymnasium.
