Highlights: Rhode Island commit Ishmael Leggett scored a game-high 23 points as St. John's College of Washington, D.C. defeated Reading High 52-49 in the HoopGroup Reading Tip-Off tonight at Bollman Center.

Leggett hit a pair of free throws with 10.7 seconds left to push the Cadets' lead to three.

Choco Brea's three-pointer at the buzzer was off the mark for the Red Knights (3-1). Brea scored a team-high 15 points and was named Reading MVP.

Leggett was the MVP for the Cadets (6-0).

Reading led by as many as six points in the second quarter before going cold from the field.

The Cadets led by as many as eight points in the third quarter.

Reading came back to tie it 42-42 with five minutes remaining.

Moro Osumanu's free throw with 53 seconds left cut the Cadets' lead to 50-49.

The Red Knights were hurt by 20 turnovers.
