Highlights: At Lansdale, Val McGriff scored 11 of her team-high 18 points in the second half to lead No. 10 seed North Penn past No. 23 Boyertown in a District 1 Class 6A Tournament first round game.

Alli Lindsay had 12 points and Rachel Dunn 11 for the Knights, who led 30-27 at halftime and 46-41 heading into the final quarter.

Ashley Kapp scored a game-high 27 and Julia Smith 13 for the Bears (10-14).

North Penn advances to play at No. 7 Garnet Valley Tuesday.
