Highlights: Friday at Wrightsville, Victoria Zerbe scored 14 points, Lily Campbell had 11 and Addison Malone and Mara Weaver each had 10 as the third-seeded Golden Knights (17-7) held a 28-6 lead at halftime in the District 3 Class 4A quarterfinal victory over the No. 6 Spartans (17-7). Weaver and Campbell each scored eight to pace the Golden Knights in the first half. Lily Seyfert scored seven of her team-high 12 points as the Spartans narrowly won the third quarter. Zerbe scored 11 of her 14 in the second half and Eastern York put it out of reach in the fourth. Seyfert also had six rebounds and five blocks for the Spartans. Eastern York advances to face No. 2 Northern Lebanon, who beat Bishop McDevitt 60-45, in the semifinals. Wyomissing will host No. 7 Bishop McDevitt in a consolation semifinal Tuesday. The Spartans need to win the consolation bracket in order to qualify for the PIAA tournament.
