Highlights: Thursday at York Springs, Lily Seyfert scored 21 points to become the newest Berks member of the 1,000 point club, but the sixth-seeded Spartans (18-8) fell to the No. 5 Eagles (20-6) in the District 3 Class 4A fifth-place game.

Seyfert, a junior, entered the game needing 21 points and she hit that total exactly. The milestone basket was a 3-pointer in the fourth quarter.

The 5-8 guard became the 133rd Berks player to reach 1,000. She's the second to get there this season, joining Wilson's Kaya Burkhart.

Seyfert scored 561 points and averaged 21.6, which ranks second in the county. Wyomissing finished the season 18-8 and won Berks III.
