Highlights: Reading High has looked like a different team since losing to Wilson last week. The Red Knights have played with much more energy each time out since last Friday, and it showed early at Gov. Mifflin on Thursday.

The Red Knights scored the first 14 points in breezing to a 58-26 Berks Conference Division I win.

The win was the third straight for the Red Knights (6-1, 11-1) after what senior center Moro Osumanu called a humbling loss to the unbeaten Bulldogs.

Defense again was the key for the Red Knights. They shut the Mustangs out for the first six minutes and held them to their lowest point total in more than three years, since a 48-26 loss at Pennridge on Jan. 2, 2018.

The Red Knights forced 12 first-half turnovers and 24 overall.

Ruben Rodriguez and Osumanu led the Red Knights with 13 points each; Rene Rodriguez each scored 10. Myles Grey had a game-high seven rebounds.

The Red Knights closed the first half with a 15-0 run to lead 37-11.

The Mustangs (1-5, 2-7) dropped the first meeting to Reading 63-37.
