Highlights: Gov. Mifflin came all the way back from a nine-point deficit to tie the game, but couldn't get some late shots to fall in losing its season opener to visiting Cumberland Valley 46-43 Saturday afternoon.

Matt Harley's 3-pointer with 2:38 left tied it at 43-43 but the Eagles (1-0) answered with a 3-pointer from Max Krevsky to take the lead for good.

The Mustangs had shots on three possessions in the final minute with a chance to tie.

Greg Suber had 10 points, Matt Gehris nine and Evan Lehman eight for the Mustangs. Harley, in his first game with the Mustangs after transferring from Berks Catholic, scored six points off the bench.

Ben Drury scored 12 and Sam Sherry 11 for the Eagles.
