Highlights:
Even with the program's all-time scoring leader on the bench to start the game, the Wilson Bulldogs had little trouble racing past Wyomissing Thursday on Senior Night.
The Bulldogs were up nine points and on their way to a 69-42 non-league victory before Stevie Mitchell and most of the other regular starters entered the game.
Seniors Andre Young and Chris Vazquez opened the game with 3-pointers and the Bulldogs (4-0) stormed to a 10-1 lead before coach Matt Coldren sent in his regular starters.
Mitchell hit a 3-pointer and went on to score a game-high 20 points; he also had eight rebounds.
Wilson led 15-1 after five minutes and 20-4 with a minute to go in the first quarter. The Bulldogs' lead grew to 28 at one point in the second quarter.
Vazquez finished with 16 points and Young with 14.
Darren Brunner and Owen Doyle each scored 11 for Wyomissing (2-1).
The Bulldogs overwhelmed the Spartans with their tight halfcourt defense, forcing six turnovers and allowing just one field goal.
