At New Schaefferstown, Katie Calkins pitched a complete game three-hitter with 12 strikeouts and tacked on a double and three RBIs at the plate to lead the Cougars (2-0, 5-1) over the Trojans (1-2, 5-4). Emily Maddock added a two-run home run in the fourth inning to break the game open for the Cougars. For Tulpehocken, Rachel Howe doubled and then scored on a Natalie Grumbine single in the fifth.
