Highlights: At Wolf Gymnasium, senior Marquis Marshall made a pair of foul shots in the third quarter to reach 1,000 for his career in the Saints’ 56-44 win over Wyomissing.

Marshall, a 6-5 forward, needed 17 points to reach the milestone and scored a dozen in the first half as Berks IV champion Berks Catholic (11-0, 20-2) opened a 31-13 lead. The two foul shots in the third quarter gave him 18 for the game.

Marshall joins teammate Donovon Jack with 1,000 career points. Jack reached the milestone last year for Central Catholic and has 1,576 in his career.

The Spartans (8-3, 13-8) were led by Gerald Burns and Joe Cacchione, who scored 15 points apiece. William Thornton scored 12 for Wyomissing.
