Highlights: The No. 19 Blazers struggled to score through the first three quarters of a District 3-AAAA preliminary round loss to the No. 14 Mountaineers at Ephrata Middle School.

Kelly Liebl scored a game-high 21 points for Ephrata, which led by 15 entering the fourth.

Shelby Vanderslice had seven points to lead Daniel Boone (14-11), which scored 16 in the final period, one point more than it had compiled through the first three.

Caroline Stauffer was also in double figures with 11 points for the Mountaineers (17-7), who advance to a first-round game against third-seeded Central Dauphin East (20-1) Tuesday at 7 p.m.
