Highlights: Nigel Cooke had 19 points, including four 3-pointers, and eight rebounds to lead No. 12 Spring-Ford during a come-from-behind, 69-60 win over No. 21 Penncrest Friday in a District 1-AAAA first round playoff at Royersford.

The Rams trailed 19-6 after the first quarter but dominated thereafter, outscoring the Lions 63-41 over the final three periods to erase the early, 13-point deficit.

Penncrest shot 55 percent compared to just 43 percent for Spring-Ford, but the Rams went 14-for-23 at the foul line while the Lions made only three of their five free throw attempts.

Spring-Ford also outperformed Penncrest from beyond the arc, making 9-of-21 3-pointers compared to 5-of-16 for the Lions.

The Rams advance to face No. 5 Pennridge in the second round Tuesday.
