Highlights: Drey Kipp scored a career-high 26 points, including 12 in the final period, as the Muhls (3-4) held off the Griffins (2-4) in the consolation game of the Hughesville Christmas Classic Thursday.

Kipp made 9-of-10 free throws and hit a 3-pointer in the final quarter, when Muhlenberg saw its 15-point lead cut to seven.

Jake Kuczawa scored 10 points and joined Kipp on the all-tournament team.

John Saxe led Sullivan County with 17 points.

The Muhls erased an early deficit by outscoring the Griffins 18-5 in the second quarter. Kipp scored five points and Kuczawa and Jakuon Keita scored four apiece in the quarter.

The game was a homecoming for Muhls coach Jon Treese, a 2005 Hughesville graduate.
