Highlights: At Oley, Matt Modrick and Jordan Sands hit back-to-back 3-pointers in the fourth quarter and the Panthers (3-0, 5-3) held off the Lynx (0-1, 2-5) in a tight battle of Berks III contenders.

After the Panthers went up six, the largest lead of the night to that point, Oley Valley fought back. Kyle Wheaton scored on a layup to cut it to 49-48 with 1:13 left. Schuylkill Valley then sealed it with free throws, making 7-of-11 in the fourth quarter.

Modrick scored 16 points and grabbed eight rebounds for the Panthers. Danny Cieniewicz had 16 points and Sands had 12. For Oley Valley, Josh Wheaton had 16 points and Kyle Wheaton had 14. Lynx starting guard Daniel Korejwo left the game with an ankle injury with 4 1/2 minutes to go.
