Highlights: Luke Hedrick had a key steal and a big 3-pointer in the final minutes as top-seeded Lower Dauphin held off seventh-seeded Muhlenberg in the District 3 Class 5 championship tonight at Giant Center.

The Muhls (18-9) led late in the third quarter and were tied at 55-55 with 2:34 remaining.

The Muhls were playing in their first district championship game in 29 years.

Mikai Washington scored a game-high 27 points for Muhlenberg.

Hedrick had 26 points for Lower Dauphin.

The Falcons (24-3) were playing in a district final for the first time since 1991, and for only the second time in program history.

Hedrick's 3-pointer with 2:23 left gave the Falcons the lead for good.

Nelson Colon had 11 points and seven rebounds for the Muhls; Justin Spotts came off the bench to grab 10 rebounds and score eight points.
