Highlights: Saturday at Archbishop Wood, John Harrison scored 17 points and the Bullets (15-12) battled against the No. 1 state-ranked Saints (23-4) before ultimately running out of gas in a PIAA Class 3A first-round game.

Hysier Miller scored 11 of his game-high 24 points as District 12 champ Neumann Goretti built a 22-6 first-quarter lead.

The District 3 fourth-place Bullets went on a 16-3 run to start the second quarter and cut the lead to three, but the Saints finished the half on a 12-0 run.

Harrison scored 11 of his team-high 17 in the third quarter as the Bullets drew within eight.

Neumann Goretti pulled ahead by 23 by the end of the third and closed it out in the fourth.

Marist commit Hakim Byrd scored 16 points and Cam Young 13 for the Saints.

Neumann Goretti will face District 2 champ Holy Reedemer, a 61-32 winner over SLA Beeber, in the second round Wednesday.
