Highlights:
At Royersford, quarterback Tommy Bodolus leaped across the goal-line to end a 3-yard scoring run and win it for the Blazers (2-0) in the first overtime of a non-league dogfight against the gritty Rams (1-1).
A week after combining for 124 points in their respective opening wins, the teams totaled just 393 yards and four TDs in regulation's four quarters.
Bodolus ran 32 times for 117 yards on a long, hot afternoon at Spring-Ford, which fumbled on its first handoff of overtime to set the stage for Daniel Boone's win. Bodolus ran three times for 10 yards from there to finish it.
Boone took a 14-7 lead into the halftime break, but that was a win of sorts for the Rams; the Blazers failed twice to score from inside the Spring-Ford 20-yard-line in the final three minutes of the second quarter. They had a second-and-goal from the 1 with 36 seconds left, but Darrell Scott fumbled at the goal line.
The Rams then turned it up a notch defensively against the tired Blazers, holding them scoreless in the second half and tying the game on a 12-yard Hank Coyne-to-Andrew Scanlan scoring strike, the pair's second of the game.
