Highlights: At Robesonia, Daniel Pettis and Angel Cruz each ran for two touchdowns and the eighth-seeded Scouts (8-3) ran for 229 yards for a somewhat surprising blowout of the ninth-seeded Spartans (7-4) in a District 3 Class AAA opener.

Conrad Weiser yielded 251 yards, but generally shut down a potent Garden Spot attack, stopping the Spartans three times on fourth-down tries in the first half and knocking dangerous quarterback John Armbrust (5-for-14, interception, 56 yards) from the game after just one second-half pass.

Pettis had 97 yards on 17 carries and Cruz, playing only the final three quarters, had 93 on 11.

Ryan Connell had a game-high 134 yards on 25 carries for Garden Spot.
