Highlights: At Shillington, junior Evan Pollock opened the game with a 99-yard kickoff return and later turned the tide with a 97-yard interception return for a score as the Mustangs (3-0, 4-2) held off the Muhls (2-1, 5-1) in a battle of first-place teams in Section 1 of the Berks Football League.

Wilson Fontanez rushed for 136 yards and scored on a 23-yard TD run to seal it for Mifflin with 5:17 remaining.

The Mustangs defense came up big, forcing seven punts, two turnovers and stopping the Muhls on downs at the 20 early in the second quarter.

Ben Ortiz ran for 106 yards and scored the Muhls' lone TD, tying the score 7-7 late in the first period.
