Highlights: Senior quarterback Jordan Jones rushed for 68 yards and two touchdowns and passed for another touchdown, leading the Kennett Blue Demons to a 40-6 non-league victory against Twin Valley Thursday night at Kennett Square.

Brett Rose opened the scoring with a 40-yard reception from Jones in the first quarter. Twin Valley responded with its only score on Dan Ziegler’s 3-yard run and pulled within 7-6.

Kennett (1-1) led 20-6 at halftime and pulled away in the fourth quarter.

Jones went 8-for-10 for 138 passing yards. Liam Clark rushed for 36 yards and two scores. Rose made four catches for 80 yards, and Nick Dunlevy had two receptions for 39 yards.

Ziegler ran eight times for 24 yards for Twin Valley (0-2). David Abbadusky rushed twice for 41 yards.
