Highlights:
Scott Kuczala threw three first-half touchdowns, two to Tom Paolini, as Wyomissing held off an early challenge from visiting Hamburg for a 34-13 victory in a Berks Football League Section 2 game.
The Hawks (1-4, 4-4) led 10-7 late in the first quarter after the first of two Tyler Seidel field goals, and trailed just 19-13 in the first minute of the final quarter after Seidel's second field goal, from 30 yards.
The Spartans (4-0, 5-3) broke it open with a pair of fourth-quarter touchdowns, the last a 43-yard run by Paolini for his third score of the day.
Paolini finished with 138 rushing yards on 14 carries and two receptions for 72 yards. He accounted for more than half of Wyomissing's total yardage output.
The victory keeps the Spartans tied with Berks Catholic atop Section 2; those teams meet in the season finale in two weeks.
Kuczala completed 6-of-7 passes for 166 yards in the first half, including a 45-yard TD pass to Sam Weaver.
