Highlights:
Shane Dantzler ran for 148 yards and a TD and Wilson's defense dominated Penn Manor in a 27-0 victory in the District 3-AAAA quarterfinals at Gurski Stadium.
The top-seeded Bulldogs (12-0) advance to face No. 4 Lower Dauphin (11-1), a 28-0 winner over Exeter, in the semifinals next Friday in West Lawn.
Three weeks after needing a big comeback to beat the Comets (9-3) 21-14, the Bulldogs had this one in hand the entire way, going ahead 7-0 in the first quarter on Kyle Watkins' 6-yard TD reception from Matt Timochenko.
The Bulldogs scored on Dantzler's 1-yard run with nine seconds to go in the first half to lead 14-0.
Hunter Rubright kicked a pair of second-half field goals to extend the lead and break the Berks record for field goals in a season. The previous mark was nine; he now has 11.
The Bulldogs' defense limited the Comets to just 121 totals yards and contained star tailback Charlie Bell, allowing him just 74 yards on 14 carries.
The shutout was the third of the season for the defending district champs.
Penn Manor had been held below 20 points just twice previously this season.
