Highlights:
Imhotep Charter used a pair of long first-half touchdown runs and three key stops in the red zone to beat Berks Catholic 20-0 in a PIAA Class AA semifinal at Mifflin Stadium.
The District 3-AA champion Saints (14-1), who came in averaging 38.6 points, moved the chains consistently, ran twice as many plays as the Panthers and piled up 295 total yards, but couldn't score. They had been held below 33 points just one prior this season.
The District 12-AA champion Panthers (12-2) used a 75-yard TD run by DeAndre Scott in the first quarter and 49-yard run by Ty Raynor to build a 14-0 halftime lead.
The Saints had a chance to make it a one-possession game, driving to the a first down at 8 late in the third quarter but were stopped on fourth down from the 4.
Five plays later Raynor ran 37 yards for a TD and 20-0 lead.
The Panthers got 205 of their 310 total yards on four plays: the three scoring runs and a 44-yard run by Raynor.
Raynor finished with 131 yards on four carries.
Imhotep advances to meet South Fayette, a 23-20 winner over Hickory, next Saturday in the championship game at Hersheypark Stadium.
