Highlights: Peter Geyer scored three second-quarter touchdowns and Wyomissing's top-ranked defense shut down high-scoring Pius X 48-7 in a non-league battle of unbeatens at Wyomissing's A-Field.

The Spartans (5-0) sacked Royals quarterback Tre Jordan seven times and limited him to 136 passing yards. They also recorded the first interception against him this season.

The Royals (41-0) had been averaging 53.5 points per game but didn't score until their final possession, long after Wyomissing's first-string defense had been removed.

Geyer scored on a 53-yard pass from Scott Kuczala and on runs of 13 and 4 yards.

Kuczala, who threw for 192 yards in the first half, also hooked up with Tom Paolini for a 32-yard TD.

Caleb Naylor ran for a game-high 130 yards for Wyomissing.
